Woman’s Rapist Gets Joint Custody of Child He Fathered in Assault

This, is a fucking OUTRAGE.

The judge in this case is obviously a sociopath.

No empathy. Deceitful. Manipulative. Dishonest.

The judge actually gave the rapist the victim's home address, and ordered his name be added to the birth certificate.

ALL THIS in an attempt to save the state money in welfare benefits.

HOWEVER, the judge had other options! Under a law passed in 2016 called the Child Custody Act, he could have compelled Mirasolo to pay child support without putting the woman he raped as a 12-year old child through this nightmare.

This judge is disgusting and has demonstrated such a misuse of power.

I pray that girl files a civil lawsuit against the judge and the assistant prosecutor.

Neither of them is fit to serve the public, especially the female public.

"Judge" Ross most definitely needs to be removed from the bench. YESTERDAY.

Somebody needs to find him and um.. .yeah.

SANILAC COUNTY, Michigan, Monday, Oct 9th

A Michigan man who sexually assaulted a woman when she was 12 and got her pregnant has been granted joint custody of the now-8-year-old boy by a judge.

Christopher Michael Mirasolo, 27, of Brown City, was awarded joint legal custody of the boy by Sanilac County Judge Gregory S. Ross, according to the Detroit News. Ross granted him rights to the child after a DNA test proved he was the boy’s biological father.

The woman is seeking recourse through the Rape Survivor Child Custody Act. A hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 25.

Rebecca Kiessling, an attorney for the boy’s mother, told the News that Ross gave Mirasolo her client’s home address and ordered that his name be added to the boy’s birth certificate without her client’s consent. There was no hearing on the matter prior to the ruling, Kiessling said.

“An assistant prosecutor on this, Eric Scott, told me she had granted her consent, which was a lie,” Kiessling said. “She has never been asked to do this, and certainly never signed anything.”

Kiessling said her client was also told she cannot move more than 100 miles without the prior consent of the court.

WDIV-TV reported that the case was prompted when the boy’s mother applied for state aid. At that time, Scott filed a motion to establish the boy’s paternity and collect child support on his behalf.

Mirasolo’s attorney, Barbara Yockey, said her client had nothing to do with the motion.

“Chris was notified of the paternity matter and an order of filiation was issued last month by the court, saying he had joint legal custody and reasonable visitation privileges,” Yockey told the News. “He never initiated this.”

The now-21-year-old mother, who was not identified by the media because she is a sexual assault victim, said the situation is “crazy.”

“They never explained anything to me,” the woman told the News. “I was receiving about $260 a month in food stamps for me and my son, and health insurance for him. I guess they were trying to see how to get some of the money back.”

She told WDIV-TV that she’s now faced with the possibility that the man who assaulted her will be allowed time with her son.

“He was conceived out of rape, but I don’t look at that,” the woman told the television station. “He’s my child. He’s a part of me, not a part of him. I hope he never has any rights to him at all.”

Yockey said she does not know if her client wishes to have a relationship with the boy.

Mirasolo was accused of forcibly raping the victim and threatening to kill her in September 2008, when she was 12 and he was 18. She, her 13-year-old sister and a friend sneaked out of the house one night to meet a boy and the boy’s older friend.

That friend was Mirasolo, who asked the girls if they wanted to go for a ride, Kiessling told the News.

“They thought they were going to McDonald’s or somewhere,” Kiessling said. “Instead, he tossed their cellphones away, drove to Detroit, where he stole gas from a station, and then drove back to Sanilac County, where he kept them captive for two days in a vacant house near a relative.”

Mirasolo was arrested about a month after the attack. He faced 25 years to life in prison, but was given a plea deal in which he was convicted of attempted third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Sentenced to a year in jail, Mirasolo served just six months before being released early to care for his sick mother, Kiessling told the News.

“(My client) and her family (were) told first-time sex offenders weren’t sent to prison because people come out worse after they go there,” the attorney told the newspaper.

Mirasolo did serve prison time in a second case from 2010, in which he was convicted of sexually assaulting a second victim between the ages of 13 and 15. Kiessling said he served four years in that case.

Mirasolo is listed as a Tier 3 offender on the Michigan State Police’s sex offender registry.

Turns out, Judge Ross actually broke the law with his actions.

Tell him what a disgustoid he is.

He is already feeling the wrath of Twitter.

The Best Twitter #cosbymemes

Oh Bill Cosby. Bill Bill Bill. What were you thinking? Your challenge for Twitter followers to meme you is a prime example of the aloofness of Hollywood icons. You believe the hype. The constant adoration. The bright-eyed fans, beaming upon finally meeting their idol. The starstruck celebrity, greeting one of their greatest career influences in person. All of the praise, worship and fanfare can make a person truly believe they're the Hollywood god people make them out to be. With all of the special treatment and obese bank accounts, self-absorbed celebs forget about (and can't escape) one teensy-weensy aspect of celebrity life:

TWITTER.

The honest, unrelenting and un-paid off folks of Twitter can pop any ego. They can bring any head in the clouds down to earth rather quickly, and most important, without the need of any PR translator, Twitter can let the world know where any celebrity stands in 140 characters or less.

Yes folks.

Twitter can definitely be a feeling-hurter.

No directors. No special effects. No scripts. Simply pure, unadulterated opinions of what the 'little guy' feels about you. Bill should've known better. One could suppose that because Hollywood has basically remained mum on the rape topic, he wasn't aware of true public opinion. He was under the assumption that everyone had swept his rape allegations under the rug. Nope! Hollywood, a town in which he's a legend in the "untouchable" category, under unspoken instruction has said nothing about his 14+ rape allegations. If he didn't know before, Mr. Cosby should be well aware that Twitter ain't Hollywood. The allegiance paid to pudding pop titans is not guaranteed in Twitville. He thought he was going to get memes of good ole' fashioned family fun.

He couldn't have been more wrong. The meme generator was a terrible move.

Dems' the breaks Bill. That's what you get for being a rapist.

Here are some of the funniest memes from Twitter (that weren't immediately pulled and deleted).:

It's amazing how a man who created and produced a television show that had so much integrity, could secretly be such a disgusting, victimizing creep.

Barbara Bowman was one of his alleged victims, claiming Cosby raped her when she was a 17 year old starving artist. Her story is here: Barbara's Story

There are also court documents filed by past victims. Cosby's prior allegations

14 allegations over 20 years. Women who've never met, living in different states. Some paid off, some not. The one thing they have in common are their stories. All accounts of rape were almost identical. Are you proud of yourself "Dr." Cosby?

Neither are we. Karma's real eh?  Shame on you.

Me Tarzan, You..Wait, Who You Again?

How Male Sexual Entitlement Hurts Everyone

Male Sexual Entitlement (MSE): The belief that men are owed sex on account of their maleness.

Rape Culture: The belief that sex without consent is OK (within certain circumstances).

Slut Shaming: To degrade or mock a woman because she enjoys having sex, has sex a lot, or may even just be rumored to participate in sexual activity.

Overvaluing of Male Sexuality: The belief that female sexuality exists specifically for male pleasure; the feeling of entitlement to women’s bodies.

No male sexual entitlement = No rape culture.

Bring back our girls? If men were properly sexually educated, (on subconscious levels especially), there would be no need to bring back our girls because no one would think it acceptable for a woman to be a sex slave. Nor would anyone think it natural to force a woman into marriage.

Why Does Sexual Entitlement Happen?

We've all been conditioned to think female objectification is normal. It’s embedded in the way promiscuous men are idolized while promiscuous women get called sluts.

“Conscious” men may think that playing to women’s emotional needs exempts them from acting in a sexually entitled way, but this isn't true.

Even the most sensitive of men may not see how they participate in MSE. Some men think being sensitive to women’s issues gives them a dating edge.

Where Does Sexual Entitlement Show Up?

In intimate relationships when one partner tries to coerce the other into sex. Some believe that it's a girlfriend or wife’s duty to sleep with her with her partner, even if she doesn't want to. Marital rape only became criminal in all 50 states as recently as 1993.

At work in the form of sexual harassment. Often times, when a sexual harassment law suit is covered in the media, people slut-shame the victim:

"She was asking for it with the way she dressed.."

Rarely are there comments about her being made to feel unsafe in (what's supposed to be) a professional setting.

Toward complete strangers. Guys who touch random women in clubs, men who catcall women as they walk by and men who feel women should be instantly flattered by a compliment.

Such people act like it's their right to look at, comment on, evaluate and use women’s bodies.

How Male Sexual Entitlement Hurts Women

Sexually entitled men may feel it’s their right to leer, make unwanted advances and/or inappropriately touch women.

Sexual harassment, street harassment, sexually motivated stalking and slut-shaming are all effects of MSE that not only affect women, but can scare them. Guys who take MSE to the extreme believe that women owe them sexual favors in exchange for attention, aggressiveness, or just plain existing.

These men also feel sexually entitled because they think being nice is synonymous with being good. They may be helpful but with an agenda. Pretending to be a decent human being to get sex makes you a creep. Synonyms be damned.

Men who adopt the “I’m nice, do me” attitude help perpetuate the idea that sex is reward, not an act of intimacy between two people. Sex isn’t a reward for good behavior, chivalry, or niceties.

Period.

How Male Sexual Entitlement Hurts Men

Instead of relaxing when they get rejected, their egos get wounded. Someone has denied them what they believe is their right and now they have to choose how to react to it.

Many men learn to be ok with not getting what they want sexually. Some can enjoy just being friends with women, even if they were initially sexually interested in them.

MSE can create a fear of rape for women. Men who react badly to being denied sex can become a part of and reinforce rape culture. Some turn to misogyny to avoid feelings of vulnerability.

The majority of entitled men may not consciously promote a permissive attitude toward rape. They may not all be angry misogynists. They're accountable for the way they treat others, but are also a product of a society that constantly bombards them with images of women as objects for consumption.

We need to focus on both changing our cultural attitudes of entitlement, and model healthier ways of relating to women we’re sexually interested in.

How Can You Avoid Feeling Entitled?

In short, check yourself. If at any point in time you believe you are owed sex for any reason —including being a decent human being — you are thinking in terms of sexual entitlement.

Also, avoid viewing a woman’s role in sex as totally passive. Though women are traditionally stereotyped as having absent or mysterious sexualities, that's a lie. Women have orgasms, horniness, sexual fantasies, everything a man has in terms of sexual desires.

If you’re in a relationship or talking to someone you’re interested in, communicate. This keeps you aware of boundaries, and you can make a space to talk about your desires without demanding that they be fulfilled.

Because sexual entitlement is so normalized, even guys who care about respecting women can be guilty of it. Women can also enable it by passively supporting it or actively participating in this thinking and behavior. Both men and women need to check themselves around this.
