No Means NO All the Time..

There are so many ways people don't understand the word  "NO."

They think NO being a complete sentence only pertains to rape or sexual assault.

It doesn't.

Or maybe it does?

NO is a complete sentence when you don't want to go somewhere. You may get,

"Sure you do! Get up, get dressed, the fresh air will do you some good!"

You might just be tired. And tired of fresh air.

No is a complete sentence when you don't want to participate in an activity. You may get,

"Don't be selfish! You'll have a good time. Don't be anti-social."

Maybe being selfish is exactly what the doctor ordered? Ain't no party like a self-love party.

AT HOME.

No is a complete sentence when you don't want to share. You may get,

"Why can't I have some? You're gonna eat it all? You're greedy!"

No, actually I'm a consumer, and I'm consuming the purchase I purchased for my consumption.

She who buys the bread, gets to eat it.

ALL.

No is a complete sentence when you don't want to talk about something. You may get,

"I can see something's bothering you. Talk to me. Tell me what it is. You know you can tell me.."

It could be that you don't want to tell anyone. Or, "telling them" is how the trouble started.

If they persist in badgering you, you may need to..

They won't see that  coming.

Nothing says leave-me-alone like flames being thrown at you.

Try it.

Report back and let us know how it went.

TBT: Amanda Bynes' & Drake: 2018 Update

What the hell is going on with Amanda Bynes?

The question asked 7 years ago when she went on a rampage about Drake, his looks, and felonies he could commit in her private areas.

I personally found the tweets scream-laugh hilarious.

I admit, I also felt concerned. The bizarreness of these worldwide messages from one former child star to another, left many questions unanswered.

Questions about psyche meds mostly..

We doubt she cared Keith.

Then came the infamous tweet..

We're guessing she didn't get her wish..

She apologized..

But then went in on RiRi..

She recently did an interview, finally explaining her Drake/Murder tweet.

We hope she continues to get healthy and stay that way.
WTS.

Gawking Rhymes with Stalking

If you think we're beautiful, thank you.

If you think we're sexy, we love it.

If you just can't take your eyes of us..

TRY.

Women don't like being stared at.

It's called "gawking."

Notice how it rhymes with "stalking?"

Why Are Men Defending Kava -Nah? Because They're Terrified

And they should be.

Chickens DO come home to roost.

The #MeToo newscycle continues to be hell for survivors—hearing stories of abuse that echo your own experiences is bound reopen old wounds—but when it comes to the allegations of sexual assault made against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, I have been thinking less of the traumatic emotional impact it has on women (which isn’t to suggest that that’s not extremely important) and more about how frightening the ordeal must be for other powerful men. They've spent their lives thinking they could get away with similar abusive behavior, only to have the rug pulled out beneath them.

Even as multiple women have accused Kavanaugh of assault and other bad behavior—another allegation surfaced Wednesday evening in an anonymous letter to Colorado Senator Cory Gardner—men, especially conservative men, have stood by him publicly. Given how broadly unpopular defending him has become, this defense isn't an expression of political savvy—rather, they are motivated by raw emotion.

“Remember, if they cannot confirm Kavanaugh, they cannot confirm anyone,” tweeted conservative pundit Erick Erickson, whose claims to fame includes shooting the frontpage of the New York Times in an emotional protest to a gun safety editorial and lying about how his parents wouldn’t let him eat "Asian food" on Pearl Harbor Day. “This is the beginning of a new age of judicial character assassination and it only gets worse from here.”
Erick Erickson

The bullshit at the core of Erickson’s claim—which other conservatives have echoed—is easily dispelled when you remember that the equally conservative Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation went off without a hitch. Kavanaugh defenders are eager to discount the accusations made against him as part of a broader liberal conspiracy. “Please help me with this,” David French, another right-wing pundit, pleaded on Twitter. “Georgetown Prep boys frequently committed gang rape… And despite this common knowledge no one has talked publicly for three decades, until the day before a crucial Senate hearing. What?”

This argument smells of fear. If expressions of male violence that were once justified as “boys will be boys” are no longer permissible, it will mark a major cultural shift, one which,
Many men are not prepared for.

In perhaps a less emotional defense of Kavanaugh, Washington Post columnist Megan McArdle tweeted, “Kavanaugh is older than I am, and it would be inconceivable for anyone of my generation to think of an incident that took place in high school as constituting ‘sexual harassment’ in the way it's now meant. It was barely a thing in the workplace in that era.” McArdle’s premise gets at the truth of the matter, answering French’s question about why stories of these alleged gang rapes committed by prep school boys didn’t emerge until now: Back in the 1980s, these acts of violence against women,

 Were barely considered a crime.

In an obscenely melodramatic op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, Lance Morrow, a fellow at a conservative think tank, compared the accusations against Kavanaugh to the literal Salem Witch Trials, where women were murdered for being witches, as opposed to not getting a job they wanted. But like McArdle, Morrow somewhat accidentally hit on the truth of why men are defending Kavanaugh: "The thing happened—if it happened—an awfully long time ago, back in Ronald Reagan’s time, when the actors in the drama were minors and (the boys, anyway) under the blurring influence of alcohol and adolescent hormones. No clothes were removed, and no sexual penetration occurred. The sin, if there was one, was not one of those that Catholic theology calls peccata clamantia—sins that cry to heaven for vengeance." This is code for: I don’t think a prep school boy drunkenly trying to rape someone in the 1980s is a crime.

Last week on MSNBC, controversial New York Times opinion writer Bari Weiss posed the question: “What about the deeper, moral, cultural, like, the ethical question here? Let's say he did this exactly as she said. Should the fact that a 17-year-old, presumably very drunk kid, did this, should this be disqualifying? That's the question at the end of the day, isn't it?” Weiss’s question gets to the heart of the issue— Kavanaugh supporters fear living in a culture where decades-old accusations of sexual assault and bullying could cost a man his dream job, or in the case of Bill Cosby, even send him to prison. What if we held men responsible for the things they did while drunk or high on "adolescent hormones"?

How many men would suddenly find themselves disqualified from important positions in public life?

Male emotions are running amok because the stakes are higher than ever before. They are scared they won’t be able to get away with it anymore, and they are going out of their way to stand by Kavanaugh not only to spite their ideological opponents, or because of their internalized misogyny, but to uphold the status quo. Perhaps the women defending him are afraid of change too, but I think they have different motivations that are tangential to this—Weiss is asking a question about the meaning of the conversation we’re having about Kavanaugh,

while his male champions are dramatically responding to his reports of his unsavory yearbook scribbles with stuff like, “So he should spend the rest of his life in jail?”

Within the conversation about whether Kavanaugh should be confirmed, we are trying to determine what we should do with the men who have been accused in the #MeToo era. We're deciding whether men can continue to get away with abusing women. We're asking if we should we take the horrors inflicted upon young women seriously.

In their hearts, men know the answers to many of these questions.

That's why they're afraid.

I Don't Need the Dickstraction

We sat.
He pulled me close.
His hand slightly cupped my outer thigh.
(Yeah dude, I noticed).
I've been thinking about this for a spell.
Not daydreaming or swooning,
but more like..
"hmm."
His Manfidence was apparent,
(Which I find super attractive).
He commented on how great I looked.
(His eyes said it too).

I have so much work to do. Getting involved in a romantic pursuit?

Not the goal.

I've been in project purgatory for months now.
I must stay focused (!) and complete these undertakings.

Still.
(Ok, maybe I'm a little swoonish)

It was,
Slow.
Sensual.
Just the right amount of pressure.

I could tell he's probably great in bed by the way he hugged me.

I'M NEVER CALLING HIM AGAIN.

Plastic is for Pussies..

I tried to do the responsible thing.

The environmentally conscientious thing.

I attempted to lessen my contribution to the negatives of nature.

And the verdict?

FUCK THE ENVIRONMENT.

I was actually hurt in this process!

There are some things I will not compromise.

Environment? You'll just have to suffer.

NO MORE CARDBOARD TAMPON APPLICATORS.

Coochies are not the place for the 'environmentally friendly' debate.

Period.

(pun intended)

Dear Men: It Wouldn't Get Hard if it Was..

So men,
take your ass to therapy.

Men get assaulted yes..

But dicks cannot get hard if being terrorized or traumatized.
They get hard when aroused.

So if your dick gets hard, well then uh..

It's not assault.
Women don't have the same barometer.

Stop making sexual assault by men a "woman's issue," and own your shit.

Thanks.

Devos the Dummy..

This would be funny if it weren't so terrifying.

What the hell Betsy?

Why in God's world is she the Education Secretary?

We not only wonder why was she appointed, but why did she WANT THIS?

The woman clearly has no idea what she's talking about. Sitting in televised interviews having no clue how to answer the questions posed about your - supposed - area of expertise.

Is she not embarrassed? Even a little bit?

She could've done bare minimum and at least prepped for the interview. Had her lapdogs feed her facts and statistics masking her ignorance about the public education system in the US.

Or her home state for that matter.

How do you not know what's going on with education in your state, yet are in charge of education for the country?

This blog exists to celebrate women but goddamn.

We have limits.

We cannot co-sign this woman. There is absolutely NO WAY!

To the sexual harassing, disgusting, womanizing, slimy sexual assaulters,

Enjoy your new lives..

because of the death of your old ones.

Who else should be in this video?

TBT: The Chippendales Dancers

Established in 1979, Chippendales was the first all-male stripping troupe to make a business performing for mostly female audiences. Through the quality of its staging and choreography, Chippendales also helped legitimize stripping as a form of popular entertainment.

After operating a gas station, Somen Banerjee and his partner, Loyola Law School student Bruce Nahin, bought a failed west Los Angeles disco, and turned it into a nightclub featuring female mud wrestling and exotic dancing. The idea of featuring male dancers came from nightclub promoter Paul Snider, while the club name Chippendales because of the Chippendale style furniture at the club.

The concept of the male strip show was brought to Banerjee and Nahin by Snider (later notorious for killing his estranged wife, Playboy Playmate Dorothy Stratten and then himself) who was desperate to revive his nightclub business because other ideas of backgammon and female mud wrestling were failing. They packaged the idea of a male burlesque show with the name of elegant furniture in a night club venue that was clean and refined, and allowed women to feel comfortable watching men strip down to a G-string. The concept immediately gained a huge female following and expanded to New York, London, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Thailand, Australia, Philadelphia, and Florida.

In 1990 a Saturday Night Live skit featured guest host Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley competing in an audition to become a Chippendales dancer.

In the 1997 English comedy The Full Monty, the characters' plan to form a striptease group are inspired by the Chippendales.

They were featured in the 2001 film Just Can't Get Enough.

Chippendale dancers Jaymes Vaughan and James Davis competed in the 21st season of The Amazing Race, ultimately finishing in 2nd place.

Other notable Chippendales dancers are the actor Ian Ziering, The Bachelor star Jake Pavelka, actor Joey Lawrence, singer Jeff Timmons, and professional wrestler Kenny King.

The Chippendales, though still popular, continue to suffer from legal troubles and conflicts with "copycat" companies. Kevin Denberg bought Chippendales in 2000 with several other investors, and immediately set about distancing the company from its somewhat risqué past.

We thank Chippendales for their contribution to Americana, and for entertaining horny women across the globe.

Continue to keep those abs chiseled gentlemen. Thatisall.

The New Year: Setting Intentions vs. Resolutions

As we all settle into this new year, we think of the habits we'd like to let go of, and those we'd like to acquire.

Typically, we make resolutions.

"I'm going to lose 20 pounds."
"I'm going vegan!"
"I'm going to quit smoking."

These are definitely handy notions, but in essence they're items we'd like to DO.
Intentions focus more on how we'd like to FEEL.

One issue with resolutions, is that they imply circumstances will be better once certain factors are different. We'll be happier once we change who we are. When we fall short of our avowed "to-do's" we can feel lazy or disappointed with ourselves. Most resolutions are discarded by mid-February. Not to mention resolutions are limiting. They're governed by the mind, and anything governed by the mind doesn’t have great consequences.

Sankalpa is the Sanskrit word for intention. Intentions are instead for the soul’s growth. A good intention nurtures consciousness and has the power to significantly raise awareness. When setting intentions, we worry about our actions because righteous intention creates righteous actions. An intention will help create more clarity. Setting an intention is like drawing a map of where you wish to go — it becomes the driving force of your higher consciousness. Without an intention there is no map, and you're just driving down a road with no destination in mind.

In a nutshell, resolutions are about outcomes, whereas intentions are about the JOURNEY.

Key points to bear in mind as you set intentions are:
  • Keep it positive. Make the intention has a positive tone. If your intention is to de-stress, then say something like, "My intention is to invite peace and calm within myself during today's meditation." as opposed to "My intention is to fight this stupid stress."
  • Make sure the intention can evolve. If you stick with the same intention week after week, your mind will stop responding to it. Be advised that you shouldn't drastically alter your intentions or goals too frequently. The goal is polish and enhance.
  • Aim for the short term. By all means think of the big picture,  just divide your long-term intention into shorter ones. This will help achieve a grandiose goal in shorter, more powerful segments.
  • An intention cannot be forced. It's a seed that you have to sow and then let reap on its own.
  • It must be intention you believe in. If not, the purpose of the intention is ruined.
  • Detach from the Outcome. Relinquish your attachment to a specific result and live in the wisdom of uncertainty. Intend for everything to work out as it should, then let go and allow opportunities and openings to come your way. You've released your intentions into the fertile ground of pure potentiality. They will bloom when the season is right!
  • Let the Universe handle the details. Your focused intentions set the organizing power of the universe in motion. Trust it to orchestrate the complete fulfillment of your desires.
  • Gratitude is an extremely important part of the intention-setting process. If you’re always  wanting and wanting and wanting, (not finding the peace or the gratitude in your life), you'll be in a constant state of scarcity.
Some sample intentions might be:

I intend to manifest happiness naturally.
I intend to respond first, and then react.
I intend to witness Divinity in everyone.
I intend to lead by example.
I intend to be open to success and abundance.
I intend to stop taking things personally.
I intend to forgive others, and myself.
I intend to love unconditionally.
I intend to make meditation a more important part of my lifestyle.

My intentions for the month of January:

I will focus more of my time, energy and attention on artistic passions and endeavors.
I focus on my inner purpose, dismissing outer distractions.
I am devoting my energy and schedule to creating projects that matter most to my soul.
I will take advantage of the trainings that have presented themselves to me, further enriching my mind and skill-sets.

What are your intentions?
